USB Interface
Using a dedicated USB card always makes sense, as some USB ports on the PC have to share bandwidth with other devices because there are fewer USB host controllers than USB ports on the motherboard.
In addition, there have often been problems with chipset drivers of onboard USB controllers in the past.
With our USB cards, customers circumvent all these problems – very cleverly.We offer two expansion cards, where the available USB ports share one host controller and are intended for the use of sequential
image acquisition from multiple cameras:- SIT USB Card 1 Host Controller 2-Port (SITUSB2CH1HC)
- SIT USB Card 1 Host Controller 4-Port (SITUSB4CH1HC)
With this solution, the cameras generate images sequentially and are acquired serially by the image acquisition card with the highest bandwidth of 5 Gbit/s. The advantage of this solution is that costs can be saved on the PC card without leading to a performance bottleneck in this setup – smart.
For maximum performance and parallel processing of multiple camera images simultaneously, we offer special image acquisition cards, each with its own USB host controller per port:

- SIT USB Card 8 Host Controller 8-Port (SITUSB8CH8HC)
These image acquisition cards differ significantly from inexpensive expansion cards on the market. Only with these cards is it guaranteed that the maximum data transfer rate per port is available, allowing the
connected cameras to deliver their maximum performance. No other device can reduce the maximum data rate in this way, and all cameras run at full speed.
This solution is ideal when customers want to use four or even 8(!) cameras in parallel with full data rate simultaneously. Our 8-port USB card provides an exceptionally high number of ports and helps customers with solutions that require 5x higher speed than GigE cameras and want to rely on multi-camera setups larger than 4 cameras, which is usually realized with GigE connections. Our solution approach allows customers to achieve higher transfer rates at significantly lower costs per port – super-smart. -
GigE interface
Our computer vision-capable GigE cards are also designed for robust 24/7 use and have been proven in servers for many years. Two well-known American server manufacturers also use these cards in their systems. We have added industrial suitability for our customers.
All cards are GigE Vision-compatible and rely on robust chipsets from Intel and Marvell. Features such as RSS, JumboFrames, and more are also supported, which increases performance or simplifies commissioning.Our GigE cards deliver not only data but also power up to 30 watts per port via Power over Ethernet (PoE). This allows customers to use only one cable for wiring, thus saving complexity and costs – smart. Troubleshooting in case of service is also simplified.
For these image acquisition cards, we opted for the Intel i350 chipset, which is dedicated per port on the card. This chipset has proven itself for years, is natively supported by every operating system, which avoids driver problems, and additionally, some camera manufacturers offer special filter drivers for their cameras in conjunction with this chipset, which increase performance.- SIT GigE Card 4 Channel PoE (SIT1GIGE4CHPoE)

For solutions that rely on faster interfaces than the GigE interface with 1 Gbit/s, we offer additional image acquisition cards with special features and thus advantages for customers. In addition to our 4-port 5GigE card, which delivers 5x more performance per port than a conventional GigE card, SIT also offers two 10GigE cards with 10 times the throughput. What's special about the latter is that the Marvell chipsets of the cards not only support 10Gbit/s, as is the case with Intel chipsets, but can also downshift to 5Gbit/s and are thus able to operate industrial cameras with a 5-GigE interface. The advantage is that our 10GigE image acquisition cards are cheaper than dedicated 5GigE cards, which are still rare and therefore more expensive on the market.
