Our AI-based inspection software consists of several modules capable of identifying defects in products, detecting missing parts, and reading and verifying characters and symbols on products. It also allows for completeness checks and packaging integrity checks, detection of errors and contamination, reading and verifying labels, and much more.

For example, deep-learning-based visual inspection helps identify defects such as missing components, misaligned parts, soldering defects, and other types of manufacturing errors. Our software is also suitable for material testing, correct assembly and packaging, and displays errors live in the image. It can even detect defects such as stains, micro-cavities, cracks, or inclusions that are difficult to identify manually or by a rule-based system because they are too small or hard to detect.

Furthermore, for cases where the shape of a defect is difficult to predict, our software offers the so-called Anomaly Detector module, which requires only a few defect-free images for training, thus significantly saving costs in defect image generation.

    The Smart Camera comes with pre-installed software and offers a comprehensive set of deep learning tools – including modules for anomaly detection, surface detection, detector, classifier, and OCR (optical character recognition). It provides a highly innovative and reliable solution for automated visual inspection and quality assurance for many applications across numerous industries.

    Its anomaly detection module is capable of reliably detecting random, unpredictable defects and only requires unannotated images of the defect-free state for training. This makes setting up a visual inspection system quick and easy. Its other modules require simple annotations of objects or defects, which can be entered via mouse on a connected PC or laptop.

    The camera can be trained directly via an internet-based user interface or on a separate computer with an
    Nvidia graphics card. The camera offers several methods for outputting results, such as communication via Siemens S7 PLC, Digital-I/O, TCP/IP, SDK (C, C#, Python), and more.
