We draw our expertise from mechanical and plant engineering as well as decades of experience in IT and software development. We have decided to combine these disciplines and elevate them to a new level in the solutions business. Therefore, we specifically use artificial intelligence and other modern methods for system integration. Based on our experience, we know where artificial intelligence can be usefully applied for inspection and other computer vision tasks and where it makes no sense, whether for cost reasons or technical conditions. Even when selecting the right lighting situation, which accounts for about 60% of the analysis performance in inspection tasks and can save a lot of programming effort and computing power, we now use an AI-supported process. This allows us to achieve our customers' goals much faster.
Nevertheless, we do not dogmatically rely on one method or tool, but rather on what is appropriate - out of experience and conviction.

As technology has advanced, components that were originally challenging to produce have increasingly become commodity products, which can be manufactured in very high quality by a growing number of producers. For example, lenses with very high resolutions and excellent imaging performance can reliably be manufactured at ever-decreasing costs. As strategic buyers, we are aware of this paradigm shift in the computer vision market and know the right manufacturers worldwide for optimal components at good prices. We pass these benefits on to our customers in component sales and also use them ourselves in the solutions we develop.

Smart Industrial Technologies has therefore decided to limit its product portfolio to the necessary components and supplement them on a project-specific basis from our partner network.

We have refrained from using expensive sales personnel and instead rely on solution design by our engineers and system specialists. In our design house, we develop tailor-made solutions for our customers, ranging from the compilation of coordinated components to ready-to-use inspection systems.
Instead of coffee and PowerPoint presentations, we offer expert advice and tangible solution proposals.
